today and tomorrow. a lot more to share in just a few minutes. >> it has been more than six months since the 77-year-old suffered a heart attack and then died. >> we remember the story. today, d.c. fire handed down punishment for three firefighters. sam fuld is outside of the fire station with the punishments and what the interim chief once changed. sam. off, no one is facing termination. under the roles, the fire chief ken change the decision only by making it more lenient. today the interim fire chief says the ruling shows why these matters need to be handled by a body outside of the fire department. >> the process is broken. criticize thes decision of the trial board as too lenient.

the story. you can see that interview and davis's defense on wjla.com. >> we are learning for the first time tonight about a heartfelt e-mail bob mcdonald sent to his wife seeking to fix their marriage. a second day on the stand is defending himself against corruption charges. the bureau chief jeff goldberg has been in the courtroom and joins us again from richmond to give us all of the details from the day. tell us about it. , the governor is on the stand at this moment. he was asked a few minutes ago about the rolex he received from christmas 2011. he said he did not know how much it cost or whether it was new or used. questioning focusing on the dysfunction of the marriage between bob mcdonnell and his wife maureen. he was asked whether or not he maureen and johnny had a physical relationship saying he did not. when pressed further, he

years ago, someone kicked in the door of a home and shot a 17-year-old honor student as she sat in bed reading. >> today we speak with the , amberof that teenager stanley. stephen tschida is outside of police headquarters. what is the latest on the case? >> it was almost exactly two killedgo when someone amber stanley inside her home and today investigators held a news conference. they did not provide specifics, but they said right now they are closer to solving the case than they have ever been. i high school honor student with aspirations, amber stanley's dream of becoming a doctor ended when somebody broke down a door and parched into her bedroom and shot her. >> why would someone kill my. are?
